The Role

Are you a young IT Support/Technical Consultant keen to expand your capabilities in development and also have a customer facing role? Avantias UK, a rapidly growing specialist in Content Intelligence Solutions, is looking for a Technical Consultant to fulfil the following roles:

• Microsoft SharePoint Server development
• Administration of the Avantias UK internal systems and software
• Customer support for the Avantias products
   

Required skills and qualifications

• Good administrative knowledge of Oracle and SQL server relational database management systems
• Good knowledge of web technologies (HTML, XML, CSS, XSLT), application server environments (ASP, .Net etc.) and web servers (Apache, IIS)
• Good administrative knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server
• Good administrative knowledge of the Windows 2003 operating system (Red Hat Enterprise Linux would also be desirable)
• Good user and administrative knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 SharePoint Server
  Knowledge of one of more of the following programming languages: C#, VB, Java, Visual C++, PL/SQL, PHP, Windows scripting
• Must be able to work alone or as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science/IT
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Be willing to travel if needed
• Good time management and organisational skills
   

Required experience

• Minimum of 1 years internal IT support of Oracle and Microsoft Windows server products
• Minimum of 1 SharePoint development project

Desirable experience/qualifications

• Customer facing experience in either a pre-sales or business consultant role
• MSCE certification
• French speaking
